Thursday, 9 May 2025, Bali, Indonesia: The Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC) is proud to announce the return of the 7th edition of the Krui Pro, set to take place from 10–17 June in South Sumatra. This year marks a major milestone, as the event has been upgraded to a World Surf League (WSL) QS 6000, alongside the the Pro Junior division—making it the first QS 6000 event ever held in the region.
Held at the world-class left-hand point break of Ujung Bocur, the Krui Pro has become one of the most anticipated stops on both the Asian and Australia/Oceania regional tours. With over 250 competitors in attendance last year, and nearly 100 athletes already registering since sign-ups opened yesterday, the 2025 edition is on track to break participation records. Competitors will be eying for 6,000 valuable QS points and a significant prize purse.
The Krui Pro kicks off a run of events in Indonesia. With registration for the Nias Pro QS6000 opening soon, followed by the Afulu Pro (APSS) in North Nias, athletes will enjoy a rare opportunity to compete in a dream lineup of world-class waves—starting with Krui’s left-hand perfection, continuing to the legendary right-hander of Lagundri Bay, and finishing at Afulu, home to Nias Island’s premier left-hander.
