Wednesday, 14 May 2025, Bali, Indonesia: The Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC) is excited to welcome back the Nias Pro as a QS6000 and Pro Junior, with registration now open and the event commencing from 21-28 June at Lagundri Bay’s legendary right-hander. Coupled with the Krui Pro, which is also a QS6000, these two back-to-back Indonesian events provide WSL competitors with the opportunity to surf two of the best waves in the world and get their Qualifying Series campaigns off to a huge start.
Last year’s Nias Pro provided some of the best waves ever seen in competition, with too many excellent waves to count, and Australia’s Xavier Huxtable even nailing a perfect heat with two 10 point scores in Men’s competition and Sierra Kerr coming ever so close with a 19.87 in the Women’s, a testament to her amazing barrel riding skills.
We’re expecting another amazing field of Qualifying Series competitors from around Asia and the Australia/Oceania region, as well as the Asian Regions best junior surfers for Pro Junior action.
